When you have a subject that’s highly skilled at what psychologists call “Magical Thinking,” often you only need to tell them to fix an issue in order for it to be fixed.

But as most people don’t fall into this advanced remit, trance is the vehicle that allows you to get your subject’s mind to this solution-orientated state.

Which is exactly why trance training is essential.

That said, an important distinction to make here is that it’s not the depth of the trance that matters, but the intensity of the belief.

This is because the therapeutic process is simply a metaphor to keep the conscious mind busy until the subject believes change has taken place.
