When learning any new skill – whether it be hypnosis or base jumping – what causes the most amount of angst is uncertainty.
Uncertainty around your skills, the process, and the direction to take.
Often this is because you want the perceived security that comes from having the knowledge and answers before you advance deeper into the game.
But here’s the kicker, you can’t grow and get really good at anything until you embrace the uncertainty surrounding it.
This is especially true when it comes to Ericksonian Hypnosis, which is all about exploring the perimeters of uncertainty.
And when you think about it, the same is true for base jumping, although of course the consequences for placing a foot in the wrong direction are much greater!
But fortunately when it comes to hypnosis, the reverse is true.
In the above 6-minute video, master hypnotist Igor Ledochowski explains why if you want to break new grounds and do what you’ve never done before – you need to be willing to become uncertain with what you were once certain about.
