The Changing Lives polls have been closed, the votes have been counted, and the results are in!
Over the past 5 weeks, you and the other community members came together to make this initiative a huge success. From the downloading of the Changing Lives wallpapers, sharing of the initiative articles & pictures, voting for your favorite Kiva lending projects, and even creating creative Changing Lives inspired art work, your dedicated action was what made it possible.
Now, originally, there were 5 different Lending Projects that you voted on. However, before the votes could be tallied, 4 out of 5 of those Lending Projects were funded by other donations on the Kiva website! A positive situation to report on to say the least.
So, as there was one last worthy project that is still yet to be funded, the $1015 raised from your action will go to a cause that received many votes from the community…
Satenik and her family run their own small family business: a successful traditional Armenian bakery, in a small village called Qarahunj. She also runs a fully functional farm which is the source of her family’s income. Satenik will use the money donated to purchase forage for her livestock, rent an agro machine and buy fuel.
This money is going to make an incredible difference for Satenik and her family, and it’s been inspiring to see so many individuals within the community taking action to make a difference in someone else’s life. So thank you again for your participation to this exciting cause.
